Hello! I'm Dorothy, founder and designer of Dote.

I have always loved creating beautiful things so making clothes that I could wear while nursing my daughter seemed like the most natural thing to do. I currently design for my women's wear label Dotted Line, so Dote was a extension of the work that I already do. I believe that clothes should be tasteful and effortless - in wearable styles that will continue to work season after season. It is with this in mind that I designed for Dote.

And because I love dresses - there is something about the simple elegance and charm of a dress! - you'll find a good selection of them in the shop. Every piece from Dote is lovingly designed and created, in soft comfortable fabrics. I hope you will love the clothes as much as I do.

Dorothy Loh trained in fashion design at Singapore's Raffles Design Institute. She created womenswear label Dotted Line in 2006 before launching Dote in 2008. Prior to entering the fabulous world of fashion, she spent her days in a small cubicle at a large international financial institution. Dorothy also writes regularly on her blog Drastic Measures which covers fashion, crafting, design and daily life.
